VISA RELAXATIONS FOR ITALY / VIZNE OLAKŠICE ZA ITALIJU



BELGRADE -- An agreement between Serbia and Italy has been signed for visa relaxations for Serbian citizens.

In accordance with the agreement, visas will be available free of charge for Serbian citizens of several categories, traveling to Italy.

Free visas will be available for people who are receiving medical treatment in Italy, students and their chaperones attending student trips or participating in cultural exchange programs, athletes, and participators in various international conferences.

In addition, the agreement see to it that free one-year visas are given to scientists, cultural workers, students and researchers who are visiting the country for scholarly reasons.

According to the Serbian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the agreement will also enable visas for several trips for up to five years for businesspeople who travel often to Italy for work and can provide adequate guarantees.

The agreement was signed by Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Vuk Drašković and Italy’s ambassador to Serbia Alessandro Merola. The agreement on the relaxation of the visa regime was reached in June.




BEOGRAD -- Potpisan je sporazum o viznim olakšicama između Srbije i Italije koje podrazumevaju besplatne vize za neke kategorije.

Naime, sporazumom je omogućeno izdavanje besplatnih viza građanima Srbije koji odlaze u Italiju radi lečenja, studentima i njihovim pratiocima koji idu na studijsko putovanje ili učestvuju u programima kulturne razmene, zatim sportistima, učesnicima u programima razmene između pobratimljenih gradova i učesnicima međunarodnih skupova.

Takođe, sporazum predviđa izdavanje besplatnih jednogodišnjih višekratnih viza za naučnike, kulturne radnike, studente i istraživače koji putuju u tu zemlju iz studijskih razloga.

U saopštenju Ministarstva spoljnih poslova navodi se da je sporazumom omogućeno i izdavanje viza za više putovanja u trajanju do pet godina za privrednike koji često putuju u Italiju radi posla i koji poseduju neophodne garancije.

Sporazum su potpisali ministar spoljnih poslova Srbije Vuk Drašković i ambasador Italije u Beogradu Alesandro Merola, a dogovor o viznim olakšicama postignut je u julu ove godine.
